2 Crofts & Assinder handles

Meet the Skomer.  A hardware range unlike any other. Designed here in Birmingham by our resident design team and machined by the finest quality craftsmen, the Skomer handle utilises depth perception and a little flair to create an optical wonder.

Contiguous flat discs are intercepted by a central hourglass silhouette for an exceptionally pleasing surprise layer. This handle range really proves that the devil is in the detail.

Crofts & Assinder are ecstatic to bring this new concept to market, a project which has been busily being perfected for some years now before we were ready to share it with the world!

Head of Design, Zoran Matijevic says: ‘Perfecting this concept has been a longstanding ambition of mine. This very futuristic looking handle was originally inspired by various architecture I’ve visited and loved; but the inclusion of the curved interior barrel within the flat discs was an aesthetic I’ve never come across, certainly in other hardware. We knew this would be a hit, provided that we could execute it flawlessly, so considerable time was spent in development to ensure the most crisp and detail-oriented finish.’

Initially the product is launching in two main finishes: Brushed Satin Brass & Polished Nickel, as well as all of our other in-house bespoke Special Works finishes, (lead times apply). The launch will also follow our usual sizing options of: 160mm fixing centres, 192mm fixing centres, 12” fixing centres for the handles and 34mm diameter on the knob.
