56. How do I maintain brass handles?

When it comes to maintaining brass handles, it is recommended to use a soft cloth which can be lightly dampened to wipe down the handle, always ensuring that the handle is dried thoroughly afterwards. Never use abrasives or chemical cleaners.

57. Do brass handles age evenly?

It depends on the finish, location and usage of the handle. For instance, an unlacquered brass handle such as our living finish in a high-traffic area which might regularly get damp e.g. by the sink, will age differently to one which is one a cabinet at the far side of the room which is not used often. Unless requested, all of our handles (except Living Finish), are coated with a protective lacquer to minimise change. If you are looking for a handle which ages, ask our dedicated customer support team for assistance with unlacquered handles.
